There has been a lot of curiosity in the unusual and uncommon name, Akaay, since the announcement. It comes from the Hindi word ‘kaya’, meaning ‘body’. “Akaay” refers to a person who transcends their bodily form. The word ‘Akaay’ means’shining moon’ in Turkish.
The word’s provenance, which the parents considered before naming the son, has not yet been confirmed.
On social media, the infant boy has already amassed a large following. In less than an hour, Virat Kohli’s Instagram post received over five million likes.

On December 11, 2017, Anushka and Virat were married in Italy. Vamika was bestowed to the pair on January 11, 2021. The pair kept their second pregnancy a secret.
On his own YouTube account, former South Africa captain AB de Villiers recently disclosed that Kohli and Anushka were expecting their second child.
