Virat-Kohli

Due to his incredible accomplishments in the 50-over style of the game, India’s top batsman Virat Kohli was named the ICC Men’s ODI Cricketer of the Year 2023 on Thursday, January 25.

Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma, and Daryl Mitchell were among the opponents that Kohli defeated to win the trophy for a record-breaking fourth time. Earlier, after winning the prize three times apiece, he shared this honor with South African icon AB de Villiers.

With 1377 runs in 24 innings at an average of 72.47 and a strike rate of 99.13, including six hundreds and eight half-centuries, Virat Kohli had an incredible 2023 in the limited-overs cricket format.

With one century and 129 runs at an average of 64.50 and a strike rate of 114.15 in three innings, Kohli was a major contributor to India’s victory in the Asia Cup 2023.

The 35-year-old continued his incredible form into the World Cup at home, where he won Player-of-the-Tournament after amassing an incredible 765 runs in 11 innings with three tons and six fifties.

The second cricket player from India to get the ICC award for continuous brilliance in 2023 is Virat Kohli. The daring batsman Suryakumar Yadav was crowned the ICC Men’s T20I Cricketer of the Year only one day ago.
