Samsung-Galaxy-S24

Around this time of year, Samsung unintentionally allows significant information about its flagship Galaxy S line of phones to leak months before their official release. We already have information on the S24 and S24 Ultra, or at least the phones we believe will go by that name, so this news should not come as a surprise.

Windows Report obtained fresh official Samsung photos today, which feature the Galaxy S24 Ultra with a redesigned, flattened screen. It validates a previous leak made by user David Martin on Twitter / X, who shared handheld photos of the rumored Samsung S24 Ultra. The pictures unmistakably displayed a new gray color finish, and sharper screen edges similar to the adjustments made with the standard S23 earlier this year, in place of the rounded curve.

Samsung is anticipated to deliver new generative AI software on-device for its next phones, which utilize the Gauss model developed by the business, as was revealed last month. According to today’s disclosures, the S24 smartphones will employ this technology to translate messaging applications into more than a dozen languages in real time. A new AI-powered “Zoom Anywhere” camera framing feature, driven by a Qualcomm AI engine, was also showcased by Samsung in October; this feature is anticipated to be available on a future handset.

Today, Android Authority discovered that significant facts regarding the CPU and modem specifications for the S24 range were just released by the FCC. The evidence indicates that the S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra all contain Qualcomm modems with Smart Transit capabilities, even though the commission did not specifically name the chip. According to the combination, all S24 models—at least those available in the US—will come with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPUs, which support artificial intelligence. International variants of the basic S24 can nevertheless, as in past years, come with Samsung’s proprietary Exynos CPUs and modems.

The S24 Ultra has a titanium frame, an improved 50MP 5x telephoto camera, stronger vapor chamber cooling, and Wi-Fi 7—which you definitely don’t need—in addition to a flatter screen and a quicker CPU. The remaining leaked specifications, as reported by Windows Report, indicate that the new phone is not all that dissimilar from the S23 Ultra variant. It appears that the 6.8-inch Quad-HD screen, 120Hz refresh rate, comparable storage choices, 12GB of RAM, and 5,000mAh battery will all be included on the S24 Ultra.

Samsung Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus

As was previously revealed in a September leak, the regular Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus model designs resemble those of its S23 predecessors. However, they do receive fresh paint treatments in marble gray, amber yellow, cobalt violet, and onyx black. Notably, the color selections for the new Ultra are identical to those of the standard S24 phones. The earlier information aligns with the latest reports, which suggest that the S24 Plus will have a larger 6.7-inch Quad-HD screen, a larger 4,900mAh battery, and more RAM (12GB). However, there will be very few changes to the normal S24’s 6.2-inch screen and 4,000mAh battery.

An official successor to Samsung’s Galaxy S23 smartphone range, which debuted earlier this year, has not yet been revealed. Regarding the leaks themselves, if past events are any indication, we should anticipate hearing about these phones at a Samsung Unpacked event early in the upcoming year.
