Champions England and New Zealand square off in the opening match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 on Thursday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Former India captain Virat Kohli and his Bollywood actress wife Anushka Sharma have issued a caution for their friends and family on Instagram ahead of the competition.

Virat Kohli and Anushka had a lighthearted discussion about the coveted ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 tickets. The opening match of the cricket extravaganza, scheduled for October 5, will take place in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium between England and New Zealand, the current world champions.

Through his Instagram stories, Kohli made a sincere appeal to his friends to watch the matches at home instead of asking him for tickets throughout the competition. By adding, “And let me just add… please don’t request me to help if your messages get unanswered,” Anushka expanded the statement on Instagram. Thank you for your patience.

As the World Cup draws near, I would humbly like to let all my friends know to not seek me for tickets at any point throughout the competition, Virat Kohli wrote in a post he published on Instagram stories. Please enjoy your homes.

After the first warm-up match against England in Guwahati, Kohli had returned to Mumbai to be with his wife Anushka. Before the group departs for Chennai to play Australia in the Cricket World Cup 2023 opener on Sunday, the former India captain visited the team in Thiruvananthapuram late on Tuesday night.

Anushka chose not to appear for cameras in the midst of rampant pregnancy rumors, fueling conjecture about a possible second pregnancy and adding a dash of mystery to the celebrity world. Over the weekend, rumors started to circulate that she might be pregnant, but Anushka has kept a low profile and has neither acknowledged or rejected the rumors.

Anushka married Kohli in December 2017 after making her Bollywood debut in “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Vamika, the couple’s first child, was born on January 11, 2021.

Anushka will make her return to the big screen after a five-year absence when she portrays former Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami in a forthcoming movie. Goswami, regarded as one of the best and fastest female bowlers in the game, is expected to provide an engaging lead.
