PM Narendra Modi will preside over the Ram Mandir prathistha, or consecration ceremony, in Ayodhya, which is scheduled to start at 12:05 p.m.
In what is essentially the start of his reelection campaign for the Lok Sabha elections of 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to take part in the highly anticipated Ram Mandir consecration ceremony, or pran pratishtha, to be performed in the temple town of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh on Monday, January 22.

In Ayodhya, tens of thousands of devotees have come, filling trains, clogging highways, and marching in on foot while brandishing flags, blowing horns, and playing drums.

The 50-meter-tall temple dedicated to Lord Ram Lalla was constructed on the site of the Babri Masjid, which was demolished in 1992 by karsevaks under the leadership of Lal Krishna Advani, the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party at the time.

Important Ayodhya Ram Temple Features

  • The Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir, also called the Ram temple, was built in the customary Nagara manner. It is 380 feet long (east to west), 250 feet wide, and 161 feet tall. It has 44 entrances and 392 pillars supporting it overall.
  • The temple’s walls and pillars are adorned with finely carved representations of Hindu gods and goddesses. The idol of Ram Lalla is located in the main sanctum sanctorum on the ground floor of the Ram temple.
  • The ‘yajmaans’ (hosts) for the ‘pran pratishtha’ of the new 51-inch idol of Ram Lalla will be fourteen couples from different regions of the nation. Arun Yogiraj, a resident of Mysuru, sculpted the statue, which was installed in the temple’s sanctum sanctorum on Thursday.
  • Ceremony started on January 16.
According to the temple trust, the ‘pran Pratishtha’ consecration rites started on January 16 near the Saryu river and would be finished on Monday afternoon in the ‘abhijeet muhurta’.

Thousands of people are anticipated to watch the ceremony live on television and internet since many states have followed suit and the federal government has declared a half-day vacation.
Temples all throughout the nation have declared special celebrations in honor of the event.

What is the’muhurat‘ (84 seconds) of Ram Mandir pran pratishtha?

The eighth and final muhurat of the day, Abhijeet, lasts for forty-eight minutes. The most terrifying moment of today’s Abhijeet muhurat is the 84 seconds.

From 12:29:03 to 12:30:35 pm, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take part in the Ram Lalla idol’s pran pratistha ceremony. Of the 48-minute “Abhijeet muhurat,” which happens once a day, these 84 seconds are seen to be the most sacred. On January 24, the abhijit muhurat will start at 12.16 p.m. and terminate at 12.59 p.m. The event is scheduled to take place at the Abhijeet muhurat, which coincides with the Sun’s zenith.

The actual pran pratistha has to take place in those 84 seconds, according to religious officials, even though the pran pratistha ceremony will start 10 minutes early at 12.20 pm and may continue until 12.40 pm or 1 pm.

The eighth muhurat of the day, which falls between sunrise and sunset, is Abhijeet. It remains for forty-eight minutes. The pran pratistha event will happen during this abhijeet muhurat window.

According to Hindu scriptures, Lord Ram was born in the abhijeet muhurat, which is aligned with Mrigashira Nakshatra, Amrit Siddhi Yoga, and Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga. This is why the data and the muhurat have been picked.

A week prior, on January 16, pre-consecration ceremonies for the pran pratishtha ceremony commenced. In order to participate in the consecration ceremony, PM Modi underwent an 11-day satvic routine during which he only consumed fruits and coconut water and slept on the floor. Prior to Monday’s pran pratishtha, PM Modi will participate in the ceremonies.

Muslim body discloses building timetable for the Ayodhya mosque and new crowdsourcing initiative

The mosque will be named “Masjid Muhammed bin Abdullah”, after Prophet Muhammad.

Ayodhya: A top official told Reuters that the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation will start building a large mosque in Ayodhya in May of this year. It will probably take three or four years to finish. The news broke on the day that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the Ram Temple’s dedication ceremony.

The information was provided by Haji Arfat Shaikh, the head of the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF) development committee, which is in charge of the mosque project. He indicated that in order to raise money for the proposed mosque, a crowd-funding website would probably be established.

The prophet Muhammad will be honored with the mosque’s name, “Masjid Muhammed bin Abdullah”.

“Our effort has been to end and convert enmity, hatred among people into love for each other…irrespective of whether or not you accept the Supreme Court judgement,” stated Shaikh.

In 2019, the Indian Supreme Court ruled that the 1992 demolition of the Babri Mosque was illegal. Nonetheless, it decided that the Babri Mosque was topped by a non-Islamic building. It declared that a mosque would be erected on a plot of land given to the Muslim side, and that a temple would be erected on the disputed territory.
